If desired, you can also trim the sharp tips of the leaves to make your artichokes more aesthetically pleasing.
2️⃣Boil water: Fill a large pot with enough water to cover the artichokes. Then add 1-2 tablespoons of salt and 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice to your water. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
3️⃣Add artichokes: Once the water is boiling, add whole globe artichokes to your pot and reduce to medium-high heat. Cover the pot and allow the artichokes to simmer for 25-35 minutes. You will know your artichokes are ready when a knife can be easily inserted into the thickest part of the artichoke.
