Perfect Crispy Bacon
Bacon is a big deal in our house. Especially now that I’ve learned the trick how to make the perfect crispy bacon.
But when it comes to bacon consumers, you’re usually in one or 2 camps.
Camp Chewy bacon
Crispy AF bacon
We are definitely fans of the latter and but it took me FOREVER to figure out how to cook perfect crispy bacon. I’ve tried cooking it on a rack or with parchment or even in a pan but nothing works like this REALLY simple method.
Here’s what you do…
- Preheat oven to 350
- Place strips next to each other on a non-stick rimmed baking sheet. I SWEAR by USA Pan.
- Place in oven for 25 minutes
- Take out and let cool and store bacon drippings for cooking fat
The secret is that when the bacon is cooking, it fries itself in a coating of its own fat making each piece firm, crispy and cooked perfectly all over.
NOTE: Different ovens will have temperature variations so watch your bacon from minute 18 on to figure out your perfect cooking time!
