These BBQ baked beans are homemade and are the perfect side dish.
There are some things you always remember about outdoor cookouts growing up. I remember there always being some pork and beans at the table. It was that kind of thing that either everyone ate or nobody did but rest assured, it was there. I always had a couple small spoonfuls and stayed far away from the big hunks of pork in it. I’m not sure why but they really creeped me out. I also remember the beans being really sweet, almost too sweet for my liking. As far as I was concerned, the sweetness should be saved for the watermelon or pineapple we dove into.

These days I will often make my own BBQ baked beans. It is actually much easier than you’d think! Plus I am able to control the amount of sweetness and use whatever BBQ sauce I prefer. My favorite BBQ sauce is the Classic BBQ by The New Primal. It is thick and made with real ingredients that taste like a dream.
