How To Reverse Sear Pork Tenderloin In The Oven
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. While the oven is preheating, let the pork tenderloin sit out at room temp for 10-15 minutes to take off the chill.
Pat the meat dry with a paper towel. Season the pork tenderloin with your favorite seasonings.
Place the pork tenderloin on a wire rack over a baking sheet and place in the oven.
Cook the pork in the oven until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit, about 30-40 minutes. Use an oven safe kitchen thermometer for accurate results.
Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest on the rack for 5-10 minutes before searing.
While the pork is resting, heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil to the pan. Add the pork tenderloin to the pan and sear on all sides until the exterior is golden brown and crisp, about 1-2 minutes per side.
Remove the pork from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
How To Reverse Sear Pork Tenderloin On The Grill
Preheat the grill to low heat, about 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Pat the meat dry with a paper towel. Season the pork tenderloin with your favorite seasonings. Place the pork tenderloin on the grill grates.
Cook the pork on the grill, with the lid closed, until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit. This will take 30-40 minutes. Use a meat thermometer for accurate results.
Once the internal temperature reaches 140F, remove the pork tenderloin and let it rest under foil for 10 minutes. While it is resting, turn the grill heat up to medium-high heat. Place the pork on the grill and sear on all sides until the exterior is golden brown and crisp, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
How To Reverse Sear Pork Tenderloin In The Smoker
Preheat your smoker to 220 degrees Fahrenheit. While the smoker is preheating, let the pork tenderloin sit out at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
Pat the meat dry with a paper towel. Rub the seasonings on all sides of the meat.
Place the pork tenderloin on the smoker, close the lid and smoke until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit, about 30-45 minutes.
Remove the pork tenderloin from the smoker, cover with foil and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Heat the smoker to 400F for 10 minutes while the pork is resting. Sear on the smoker for 3-4 minutes each side or until the internal temperature reaches 145-150F. Let rest for 5-10. Slice and serve.
