Servings: 1 cup

Equipment

  • 1 Silicone Ice Cube Tray

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Elderberry Syrup

Instructions

  • Let it cool: You want to make sure that the syrup is fully cooled before freezing. This will ensure that the items in your freezer stay at a safe temperature.
  • Pour into a silicone ice cube tray: Place the silicone ice cube tray on a baking sheet. Then, pour the cooled elderberry syrup into each divet. You can use any silicone tray you desire. I like using ones that have each part as one tablespoon. That way I know exactly how much I have and how much I want to defrost when needed.
  • Freeze overnight: Add the tray to the freezer to allow the cubes to completely freeze overnight until solid.
  • Add to a freezer-safe bag or airtight container: Once frozen solid, pop the cubes out and place them in a freezer-safe plastic bag or airtight container for up to 6 months.
  • Thaw and enjoy: When you're ready to use the frozen syrup, pop the cubes into a mason jar with a sealed lid and let it thaw overnight in the fridge. Give it a good shake to redistribute the ingredients and flavors and enjoy!
