- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ½ cup tequila
- 28- ounce diced tomatoes canned
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup heavy cream
In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat olive oil.
Add onion and garlic, and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Stir in tomato paste and tequila.
Add diced tomatoes, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream and cook for 5 minutes.
Serve over cooked pasta. Enjoy!
