Thanksgiving Moscow Mule (Pumpkin Apple Spice)

This Thanksgiving Moscow Mule is my go-to when I want to bring a bit of autumn magic to the table. This fall cocktail recipe mixes classic vodka, lime, and ginger beer with the cozy flavors of pumpkin, apple cider, and pumpkin pie spice.

Equipment

  • mixing tin (or large jar/pitcher)
  • long-handled spoon
  • fruit juicer
  • copper mule mugs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider like Angry Orchard or a non-alcoholic apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 ounces vodka
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 4 ounces ginger beer or ginger ale

For Garnish

  • lime wedges
  • apple slices
  • pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  • In a mixing tin (or jar or measuring cup), add apple cider, pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice. Stir gently until the puree and spices are mixed well within the apple cider.
  • Add vodka and lime juice to the tin and stir gently to combine.
  • Fill four copper mule mugs with ice and pour cider-vodka mixture evenly between the four mugs. Top the remainder of the drinks with ginger beer and stir.
  • Garnish with fresh lime, apple slices and a light sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. Enjoy!

Notes

If you'd like to make a virgin thanksgiving moscow mule, use sparking non-alcoholic apple cider or apple juice instead of alcoholic cider and omit the vodka.
