  • 3 lbs - Apples peeled and cored
  • cup - Water

Instructions

Instant Pot Unsweetened Applesauce

  • Peel, core and quarter each apple.
  • Add apples to your pressure cooker along with 1/3 cup water.
  • Cook on manual high pressure for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and blend or mash until desired consistency is reached.

Slow Cooker Unsweetened Applesauce

  • Peel, core and quarter each apple.
  • Add apples to your crockpot or slow cooker along with 1/3 cup water.
  • Cook on high for 3-4 hours being sure to check it halfway and stir.
  • Remove from heat and blend or mash until desired consistency is reached.

Stovetop Unsweetened Applesauce

  • Peel, core and quarter each apple.
  • Add apples to a medium or large sauce pot along with 1/3 cup water.
  • Cook on high for 3-4 hours being sure to check it halfway and stir.
  • Remove from heat and blend or mash until desired consistency is reached.
  • Cover and cook over medium heat until it simmers, then reduce heat to low / medium-low and continue cooking until the apples are tender for about about 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally to help them further break down.
  • Remove from heat and blend or mash until desired consistency is reached.
