  • To ensure your frozen turkey burgers cook evenly in the air fryer, arrange them in a single layer, ensuring each patty has enough space for the hot air to circulate around it efficiently.
  • Always check the internal temperature of your turkey burgers using a meat thermometer; they are fully cooked when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Even frozen burgers benefit from additional seasoning; feel free to sprinkle your favorite herbs or spices on the burgers before cooking to enhance the flavor.
  • Halfway through the cooking time, flip the burgers to ensure they are cooked evenly and have a nice, crispy exterior on both sides.
  • Keep in mind that every air fryer is different, so you may need to adjust the cooking time slightly to achieve the perfect doneness for your frozen turkey burgers in air fryer.
  • Opt for high-quality frozen turkey burgers with a higher lean meat percentage for a healthier meal and better taste and texture.
  • After cooking, let the turkey burgers rest for a few minutes; this allows the juices to redistribute throughout the burger, keeping it moist and flavorful.

Previously I tried cooking at 400F. Following this recipe @375F gave more even cooking. After the 15 minutes I grilled the inside faces of the bun @400F for 1 minute, then assembled burger on bun, another 1 minute @400F. Then I put some pick de gallo with Guacamole on top of the turkey burger. The grilled bun didn’t turn mushy. WIN!

New to air frying!! Honestly, my Emeril’s air fryer is kinda intimidating! Thnx to your thorough AND easy directions, I’ve been cooking turkey burgers EVERY weekend!!

    1. Air fried turkey burgers > all the other turkey burgers! Thanks for the kind review! -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)

  4. What if you are using bread? Do you cook the Turkey burger, and then put the bread on alone and toast it, or put the sandwich together and air fry it once it’s altogether?

    1. Hi, Paula. I wouldn’t air fry it all together. The buns will turn into hockey pucks! Instead, brush the buns with butter or olive oil and air fry them seperately at 325 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes. -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)

I have a countertop air fryer. Made dinner for 2 in a flash using 2 turkey burger patties with sweet potato fries at the same time. The burgers were topped with homemade barbecue sauce.
