Once I found out you can cook frozen foods in the air fryer, I was hooked! If you have a busy lifestyle or a busy family life, you can use your air fryer to make quick and healthy meals even from frozen. The best part is, you don’t really have to babysit your food like you would on the stovetop.

The air fryer does all the work!

One of my favorite things to make with my Ninja Foodi Air Fryer is frozen burgers. My easy recipe for air fryer burgers is a big hit so I thought I might as well try cooking frozen turkey burgers too and it was super easy.

🦃What You’ll Need To Make Air Fryer Turkey Burgers

An Air Fryer: I really love using my Ninja Foodi or Ninja Foodi Grill for air frying anything, but any air fryer will work for this recipe.

Frozen Turkey Burger Patties: These are easy to find in any grocery store. I like using 93% lean turkey burgers as they hold together the best and taste better in my opinion.

📖How To Air Fry A Frozen Turkey Burger

1️⃣ Place your frozen turkey burgers into the air fryer basket in one single layer.

2️⃣ Cook at 375 for 15 minutes flipping halfway through.

3️⃣ Remove turkey burgers from the air fryer with tongs or a spatula.

4️⃣ Serve hot on a bun, lettuce wrap or cut up and put into a salad.

NOTE: Cook time may vary with each air fryer. Please make sure your turkey burger is cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Farenheight.

💭What If I Want To Use Raw Ground Turkey Meat?

If you’d like to make your turkey burgers from scratch, purchase ground turkey of your choice. The higher the fat content, the harder it will be to form patties. Once they are cooking they will stick together it just may be tricky to form them.

1️⃣ Add preferred seasonings, then divide your ground turkey mixture into 4 even patties.

2️⃣ Place in an air fryer basket and cook at 350 degrees for up to 15 minutes flipping halfway through or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

3️⃣ Remove from the air fryer basket and serve hot.

👩🏻‍🍳Chef’s Tips

To add some flavor to your frozen turkey burgers, sprinkle on your favorite seasonings before cooking such as Old Bay, Cajun Seasoning or even just plain salt and pepper.

How Long Will They Last? These cooked turkey burgers will last in the fridge for up to 5 days in an airtight container in the fridge.

How Do I Reheat Turkey Burgers? To reheat your turkey burgers, place in the microwave or back in the air fryer at 325 for about 10-12 minutes to keep from overcooking.

Previously I tried cooking at 400F. Following this recipe @375F gave more even cooking. After the 15 minutes I grilled the inside faces of the bun @400F for 1 minute, then assembled burger on bun, another 1 minute @400F. Then I put some pick de gallo with Guacamole on top of the turkey burger. The grilled bun didn’t turn mushy. WIN!

New to air frying!! Honestly, my Emeril’s air fryer is kinda intimidating! Thnx to your thorough AND easy directions, I’ve been cooking turkey burgers EVERY weekend!!

    1. Air fried turkey burgers > all the other turkey burgers! Thanks for the kind review! -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)

  4. What if you are using bread? Do you cook the Turkey burger, and then put the bread on alone and toast it, or put the sandwich together and air fry it once it’s altogether?

    1. Hi, Paula. I wouldn’t air fry it all together. The buns will turn into hockey pucks! Instead, brush the buns with butter or olive oil and air fry them seperately at 325 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes. -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)

I have a countertop air fryer. Made dinner for 2 in a flash using 2 turkey burger patties with sweet potato fries at the same time. The burgers were topped with homemade barbecue sauce.
