Check your grocer’s freezer section, and you should find a few frozen burger options. These instructions are for making those burgers in the air fryer. -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)
Followed the recipe burgers were overcooked and turned out to be burnt hockey pucks. Thinking at 400 and 20 minutes was too much
I usually sneak a peek around the 10-minute mark to gauge how much more time they need to avoid overcooking them.
Valerie, you preheated the air fryer at 375. Did you also cook the burgers at that same temp? Reason I ask is that others have cooked frozen burgers at 400… Thanks for your recipe – you should do a video for YouTube! 👍
I preheat the air fryer and cook the burgers at 375 -hope that helps!
We use this “recipe” at least 2x a week!
20 minutes made mine rock hard 15 minutes still hard 10 minutes was perfect for mine
I had to adjust the time based on my burger thickness and the fact I wanted it medium but I’m so happy to not have to use the grill in the winter months.
Great idea! I use foil in my air fryer for easy clean up
Gamechanger!! These came out juicy and tasty. Easy clean up with the foil trick and doesn’t heat up your kitchen.✔✔☺

One minute before they are done, remove the air fryer basket and top each burger with cheese, return to the air fryer and cook till done.
Cheese makes everything better. Thanks for the tip!
When I cooked my burgers, it smoked up my kitchen! What to do?
Yikes! That can happen when cooking greasier foods in an air fryer. Depending on your air fryer, you can put a couple of tablespoons of water underneath the basket. -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)
Having done something similar before in the NuWave oven and finding an aluminum pizza pan works well for drippings, I can suggest the possibility of using disposable aluminum pie plates.
That’s helpful! Thanks! -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)
Do you set the same temp. and time the
Same for frozen turkey burgers?
Yup! 375 degrees for turkey burgers. -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)
Thanks for the recipe.
Can I cook brat burgers and use the hamburg setting?
Hi, Beverly! This air fryer hot dog recipe can be used for brats, but you’ll need to increase the cooking time a bit. -Krista (Team Thyme & JOY)
375 degrees, flipped at 8 minutes left on timer (7 minutes in), stopped at 1 minute remaining to add slice of cheese. 15 minutes total.
My burgers were kirkland 1/3lb beef patties. Slight pink in center and was super juicy and delicious!
My air fryer does not go to 375. Only at 10 increments. So should I cook them at 370 or 380
