Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Kiev
Make Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Kiev in your air fryer or Ninja Foodi! This cooking method gives the chicken a crispy outside and a tender and juicy inside that’s perfect for pairing with your favorite side dishes or when you need a quick and easy entree!
Can I cook frozen chicken kiev in an air fryer? The air fryer is the best way to cook frozen chicken kiev in much less time than in the oven!
Chicken kiev is a dish consisting of a chicken breast rolled around a filling of butter, parsley, and garlic. The chicken is then breaded and fried until it is golden brown and cooked.
Traditionally baked or fried, this chicken dish can also be cooked in an air fryer with amazing results! The chicken comes out crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside without the use of excess oil!

🪜How To Make Frozen Chicken Kiev In Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer: Turn your air fryer to 375F and let it preheat for 3-5 minutes.
Add the frozen chicken: Using tongs, place the frozen chicken kiev pieces at the bottom of the air fryer basket in a single layer. Set the timer for 20 minutes.
Air fry the frozen chicken: At the 15-minute mark, check the chicken to see if it’s done, as the cooking time depends on the size. Cook until the internal temperature of the meat is 165F.
Remove and serve: Use tongs to remove the chicken. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving with your favorite side dishes. Enjoy!
👩🏻🍳Air Fryer Cooking Tips
Preheating the air fryer when cooking frozen foods is important as it allows the defrosting to start immediately as it cooks.
The cooking time depends on the size of your chicken as they can vary from brand to brand. Start at a time and temperature of 375F for 15-20 minutes and adjust as needed.
Some chicken kiev that comes frozen has raw chicken inside. Use a kitchen thermometer to ensure the chicken is at a safe internal temperature of 165F.
Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. This will cause the air not to circulate properly, and the food will not cook evenly.
❄️Storage
Air-fried chicken kiev will last for up to four days in the fridge. Place any leftovers in an airtight container and store it immediately after it’s cooled down from cooking.
Reheating: Place the desired amount in the preheated air fryer basket and reheat in the air fryer at 375F for about three to five minutes or until warmed through.
Re-freezing once cooked is not recommended as the texture will change.
