Air Fryer Smoked Sausage
Air Fryer Smoked Sausage cooks quickly and easily, ready for your favorite side dishes in just 10 minutes using your air fryer or Ninja Foodi. Use it for meal prep or family dinners!
Cooking sausage in the air fryer is a quick and easy way to get protein on the table for lunch or dinner. I love making Air Fryer Italian Sausage, Air Fryer Frozen Sausage Patties, or Air Fryer Beyond Sausage, or Air Fryer Sausage Balls for breakfast or as an appetizer!
I’m part Polish so I grew up eating kielbasa. As I got older and made my own meals for my family, I found that smoked sausage was an easy budget friendly food to add to so many meals. My favorite way to make it is to air fry it along with a side of pierogies!
You can find smoked sausage in any grocery store near the deli meats, hot dogs, and cured meats like bacon. Popular brands include Johnsonville, Hillshire, and Eckrich. They can also be your favorite brand of Polish sausage, kielbasa, or andouille sausage. Feel free to use chicken sausage or turkey, too!
📖How To Air Fry Smoked Sausage
1️⃣Preheat your air fryer: Turn the air fryer on and preheat to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
2️⃣Cut the sausage: Cut into 1/2-inch pieces. Then, arrange the pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
3️⃣Air fry smoked sausage: Cook the sausages in the preheated air fryer for about 8-10 minutes. Halfway through the cooking process (around the 4-5 minute mark), pull out the basket and give it a good shake or stir to ensure all the pieces are cooked evenly.
4️⃣Adjust for crispiness: Check the sausages to ensure they are golden brown and crispy. If not, air fry for another 2-3 minutes.
5️⃣Cool and serve: Once done, remove the sausages carefully from the air fryer with tongs and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite side dishes!
