3 Ingredient Nutella Brownies come together quick without any butter, cocoa powder or baking powder. This easy Nutella dessert recipe makes irresistibly fudgey brownies with decadent hazelnut chocolate flavor. Nutella Brownies can also be made gluten-free.
Do you ever see something on Instagram and for no particular reason, you just HAVE to have it and you just HAVE to have it NOW? Same.
I recently crossed paths with an image of a jar of Nutella on Instagram and it sent my cravings for Nutella into overdrive …so off to Costco I went for a lifetime supply of Nutella.
Growing up, we ate A LOT of peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches, so I wanted to use the ridiculous amount of Nutella I just purchased on something a bit more creative.
I did a little research on desserts with Nutella and found this, the almighty 3 ingredient Nutella brownies. Of course I had to make them for myself and because I believe everyone should be able to experience these melt-in-your mouth AMAZING brownies, I made them gluten-free as well. Enjoy!
🤔What is Nutella?
If you aren’t familiar with Nutella, let me quickly catch you up to speed. It is a sweetened palm oil spread, flavored with hazelnut and cocoa solids, generically called “chocolate spread.” It was created by the Italian company Ferrero in the mid-sixties and it’s been a pantry staple ever since.
💗 Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Despite just 3-ingredients, the texture and flavor is PERFECT.
It’s so easy to throw together. Seriously, you can’t mess this up!
And it’s quick. It comes together in just 35 minutes.
My gluten-free version is absolutely delicious.
🍫 Ingredients & Equipment You’ll Need
Nutella – has a lot of sugar which helps develop that classic crinkly brownie texture.
Eggs – bind everything together and add moisture, making these the fudgiest 3-ingredient brownies ever.
Gluten Free Flour Blend (or all-purpose) – is the structure of the brownies.
I always use a gluten-free flour blend that is all purpose and contains xanthan gum in the mix. Lately, my favorite is Krusteaz Gluten Free Flour Blend. If you do not need this recipe to be gluten free, then you can use regular all purpose flour 1:1.
Loaf Baking Pan – I like using a 9 x 5 inch loaf baking pan because the results a are a rich, thick brownie. An 8 x 8 would make really thin brownies with a shorter cook time. If you use a different pan size, keep a watchful eye on the cook time as it will be different than this recipe.
📖 How To Make 3 Ingredient Nutella Brownies
I know, I really didn’t believe it either, but it is as easy as it sounds. You simply mix the ingredients together and bake. Seriously, that’s it. I don’t know how it’s possible, but I am not complaining.
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
2️⃣ In a large bowl, whisk eggs until combined. Add Nutella and flour and mix until a smooth batter forms.
3️⃣ Pour brownie batter in greased loaf pan, leveling out the height with a spatula.
4️⃣ Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool COMPLETELY before removing from pan.
Why not make a good thing better with these add-in ideas:
Nuts (chopped walnuts, slivered almonds, pecans, etc)
Peanut Butter (or any nut butter)
🔁 Storing & Freezing
Storing Leftover Brownies: To retain their moist fudgey texture, brownies are best stored in a sealed container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
Freezing Brownies: To freeze, wrap the whole loaf in a double-layer of foil and a layer of plastic wrap and store in the freezer for up to 4 months.
More Gluten-Free Desserts
Yes. Nutella does not contain nor is manufactured with any gluten containing foods.
In addition to brownies, Nutella is good on sandwiches, apples, rice cakes, pretzels, English muffins, waffles and even ice cream!
It’s pretty high in sugar, fat and calories …so no, it’s not exactly nutritious but it just tastes SO good.
