Making Air Fryer Salmon Patties is a perfect way to get a heart healthy protein on the table with a cooking time that is under 15 minutes! These can be made Whole30 and keto friendly.

One of the things I love about making these salmon patties is that you end up with something that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Salmon patties can be served along a green salad, cooked veggies, eaten plain or even use a bun or tortilla for a delicious sandwich.

Check out this review for my absolute favorite air fryer.

What Kind Of Salmon To Use For Salmon Patties?

  • Boneless Skinless Canned Pink Salmon
  • Canned Salmon with Skin and Bones
  • Oven Baked Salmon that is broken down into the same consistency as canned salmon

Frozen Salmon Patties In Air Fryer:

How long to cook frozen salmon patties or salmon burgers depends on the size and consistency of the product. A good place to start is cooking frozen salmon patties at 375 for 10 minutes then adding time in 3 minute intervals until desired level of doneness is reached.

Whole30 Salmon Patties

To make these salmon patties compliant with the Whole30 program, use almond flour instead of breadcrumbs. Make sure you read your labels on whatever seasoning you choose to use.

Keto Salmon Patties

For a salmon patty that is keto and low carb friendly, use pork panko or almond flour in place of the bread crumbs. Pork panko simply is pork rinds that have been crushed into a flour consistency. You can make them yourself or you can buy them HERE.

How To Make Air Fryer Salmon Patties:

  1. Drain liquid out of canned salmon and add to a large bowl.
  2. Add in egg, dijon mustard, bread crumbs, onion powder, parsley, and cajun seasoning. Using your hands, mix everything together until all ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Form salmon patty mix into 4 even patties and brush with avocado oil on both sides.
  4. Add to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 375 for 12 minutes flipping halfway through.

Don’t have an Air Fryer?  Make oven roasted salmon patties!
