✅Why Make Alexia Sweet Onion Rings In The Air Fryer?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, using the air fryer is the best way to make any frozen foods.
Why? Because it’s a healthier alternative to deep frying and you don’t have to worry about any hot oil splattering everywhere. Plus, air fryers cook food more evenly so you’re less likely to end up with any burnt pieces.
Plus, when baking frozen onion rings in the oven, it could take up to 30 minutes to get them to your desired consistency. The air fryer uses much less electricity, doesn’t heat up the house AND these frozen onion rings cook in just 10 minutes or less!

2️⃣Add the frozen onion rings: Place the frozen onion rings at the bottom of the air fryer basket in a single layer.
3️⃣Set the cook time: Set the timer to cook for 10 minutes. You may not need all of that cooking time. At the 5 minute mark, give them a shake or toss with tongs to expose them evenly to the air. Cook for the remaining 3-5 minutes.

👩🏻🍳Tips For Cooking Frozen Onion Rings In The Air Fryer
Preheating is important! We’ve found that preheating beforehand makes a difference when cooking frozen foods. It allows the air fryer basket to get hot so that the food will defrost and cook on time.
If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat function, that’s okay! Just turn it to the 400F setting and wait for 3-5 minutes before adding in the onion rings.
Place the onion rings in a single layer. Whether you are air frying alexia waffle fries or regular fries, placing them in a single layer will allow the dry heat to circulate around each ring and cook evenly. A little overlapping is ok.
Cooking times may vary depending on your air fryer brand and model as well as the type of frozen food you’re cooking. In our experience, Alexia onion rings usually cook in about 10-12 minutes.
