Air Fryer Frozen Brussel Sprouts
Did you know you can cook frozen brussel sprouts in your air fryer? They come out crispy on the outside and tender on the inside in 20 minutes. It’s the perfect air fryer healthy side dish that can be dressed up with balsamic glaze or even with bacon, butter or Parmesan cheese. Great for those on keto or low carb diets.
One of my favorite things about the air fryer is the ability to cook almost any food super quick and often with a crispy outside without it being fried traditionally in oil.
I cook shrimp, potatoes, mushrooms, whole sweet potatoes and even s’mores in my air fryer.
A great trick the air fryer can do is also cook food straight from frozen! You can make things like chicken and burgers, frozen french fries and even frozen vegetables that taste so much better than microwaving and are often finished cooking in 15-20 minutes.
And while I love my easy recipe for air fryer brussels sprouts, being a new mom leaves less room for chopping and prep so I now cook frozen air fryer brussels sprouts.
📖How To Make Air Fryer Frozen Brussels Sprouts
1️⃣ Grease the air fryer basket with a little avocado oil. I like using this oil sprayer to avoid unhealthy cooking sprays.
2️⃣ Place your frozen Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer making sure the air fryer basket is not overcrowded.
3️⃣ Air Fry frozen brussel sprouts at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes, flip with a spatula and continue to cook for another 10 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
4️⃣ Remove from the air fryer basket with tongs and toss in your preferred seasonings or sauces.

💭What’s The Best Air Fryer?
I’ve tried many air fryers over the past few years and my favorite one continues to be the Ninja Foodi.
Not only is it an air fryer, but it’s also an instant pot, steamer, dehydrator, slow cooker and much more! I believe it’s absolutely worth the purchase to get quick healthy meals on the table for your family.
❔ FAQ
Yes! Most frozen brussel sprouts come in their whole form and they are not cut. Although cut brussels sprouts give them more of a surface area to get nice and crispy, the whole ones will also do the same especially if they are not too big. If you’re looking to air fry raw brussels sprouts, check out my recipe.
You can keep them in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
You can reheat them in the microwave but you can also reheat them again in the air fryer even though they may not be as crispy as the first time you cooked them. Simply add them to the air fryer basket and cook at 325 for about 15 minutes being sure to toss a few times so they evenly cook.
Most of the time, the brussel sprouts used to be bagged and frozen are picked at peak freshness. Although they are slightly different in texture as the freezer breaks down the fibers, they still are very similar!
They can be defrosted, but again the texture will be a little more mushy than if they are cooked from raw. If you decide to defrost frozen brussel sprouts, be sure to cook them with dry heat with an air fryer or convection oven to evaporate as much moisture as possible.
If your brussels sprouts are severely freezer burned or have mold or discoloration, toss them away!
