Blog Income Report February 2021: Find out how I made $3713.57 through my blog with various strategies.

If I had to sum up how this short month was, I would call it “survival month“. After a big audit in January with tons of things I was excited to work on, I barely did ANYTHING for this blog. The good news is that my previous work carried me through and I still ended up making just $100 shy of what I made last month.

Here are some noteworthy things that happened in February:

Traffic holding steady: Traffic did go down this month because of diet season wearing off, but I still made almost as much money since my RPM jumped from $17 to about $22. For so many years it was a dream of mine to hit 100k pageviews per month and now that I’m getting over that every single month, it doesn’t seem real!
Amazon Income: I’m going to keep this short and say that ever since Amazon decided to slash the affiliate income rates, income has been down the drain. Every once in a while I get a good month but sometimes I wonder if it’s worth it to keep putting time into linking products.
Ghostwriting Business: Well, somewhere along the lines I decided to make the decision to go ahead and offer ghostwriting as a service to other bloggers. I just dipped my toe in the water and seemingly out of nowhere I had clients in the double digits. I’ve not only been busy writing posts for other clients but coming up with the systems along with them which has been much harder. There are so many things that need to happen when managing clients and I can’t say I’ve got it all figured out yet but I’m off to a great start.
Blogging Agency: Last year when Kristina reached out to me after reading one of my income reports, we decided to start chatting about blogging and SEO because we didn’t really know any other bloggers that shared the same passion (i.e.. obsession). I heard hiring an SEO Consultant can make things easy, in terms of increasing blog visibility. Right now our blog may not be properly optimized to reach the right audience, and it would be great to get that sorted! Our conversations morphed into this idea of running a full service agency for food based bloggers and I couldn’t be more excited about the potential it has. Right now were keeping an open mind and letting the work and our ideas lead us to the next step so stay tuned!
New Posts: Because of how busy I’ve been, I have sadly neglected my blog which makes me sad. I don’t foresee this blog hitting the bigtime and making me 7 figures, but I do think it has potential to grow exponentially over the years. But, that takes time that I’m short on. Next month I will be hiring someone to help out writing for clients as well as someone to assist me in writing my posts and helping me keep organized. Although the thought of investing in help can be sometimes scary, I have to remember that this is what it takes to grow over time!
